Delhi Public School Tapi organised a Science Fest for the students of Classes VI and VII on 18 September 2026. The event provided students with an enriching platform to explore scientific concepts through creativity, experimentation, models and presentations. The objective of the fest was to develop scientific curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving skills and effective communication among students by encouraging them to connect classroom learning with real-life applications.

Students of Classes VI and VII participated enthusiastically and prepared a wide variety of working models, display models and charts based on topics selected from different branches of science. The classrooms were creatively decorated according to the themes of the exhibits, creating an engaging and vibrant scientific environment. Students took ownership of their exhibits and confidently explained the concepts and working principles of their models to the visitors. While some students presented working models that demonstrated scientific principles, others displayed informative and creatively designed models and charts to explain various concepts.

The Class VII exhibits covered diverse areas of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science and Astronomy, including electricity, magnets, motion, light, heat, acids and bases, metals and non-metals, human body systems, eclipses, constellations, galaxies and environmental concepts. Students presented these concepts through creative working and display models and charts.

The Class VI exhibits focused on living organisms, Earth and environmental science, Physical Science and Astronomy. Topics included animal life cycles and adaptations, food webs, magnets, buoyancy, the water cycle, rainwater harvesting, earthquakes, tectonic plates, renewable energy, smart cities, the Solar System, stars and constellations, and the life cycle of stars.

Parents were invited to visit the exhibition and appreciate the efforts and creativity of the students. The interaction between students and parents provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate their understanding beyond the conventional classroom setting. Explaining their models to visitors encouraged students to communicate scientific ideas in a clear and confident manner and helped them develop presentation and interpersonal skills.

The Science Fest 2026 for Classes VI and VII was an engaging and enriching initiative that celebrated scientific learning, creativity and innovation. The enthusiastic participation of the students, the attractive classroom displays, the variety of working and static models, and the active involvement of parents made the event a memorable experience. The fest successfully created a platform where students could learn, create, demonstrate and communicate, making science a more experiential and enjoyable part of their learning journey at DPS TAPI.
