A storytelling assembly was conducted for the students of Classes I and II on 3 June 2026 as a welcome assembly after a long Summer Vacation. The assembly aimed to nurture imagination, creativity, listening skills and active participation through an engaging blend of storytelling, dance and interactive activities.

The session began with an animated storytelling presentation using colourful animal puppets. The story followed the adventures of two curious children who set out on a journey through the jungle and met various animals along the way. The lively puppet characters and expressive narration captured the attention of the young learners and kept them actively engaged throughout the session.

To make the experience more immersive, the story was then brought to life through a dance performance by the teacher. Students enthusiastically joined in, mimicking the movements and actions of the animals featured in the story. The courtyard echoed with laughter, excitement and cheerful participation as the children of class Nursery – Class II who danced together, creating a joyful and energetic atmosphere.

Following the performance, an interactive quiz session was conducted based on the story. Students eagerly answered questions related to the characters, events and moral of the story. The activity encouraged attentive listening and helped reinforce comprehension in a fun and meaningful way.

The assembly successfully enhanced students’ listening and comprehension skills, stimulated their imagination and encouraged confidence in participation. It also promoted social interaction, cooperation and joyful learning among the children. Overall, the storytelling assembly was a vibrant and enriching experience that blended education with entertainment.
