The Academic Year 2026-27 commenced with a series of carefully designed welcome activities for students of Classes III-V aimed at creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere, alleviating first-day anxiety, facilitating new friendships, introducing collaborative learning, and establishing a positive classroom culture.

Class III students actively participated in an engaging activity where they followed the hand gestures demonstrated by the teacher. Each gesture was linked to a specific action. Next, they played Hopscotch activity. The hopscotch activity was conducted to develop students’ physical coordination, balance, and counting skills. In this activity, four circles were drawn in a row on the ground. The students were instructed to jump into each circle one by one without skipping any circle. They also learned to follow directions and wait for their turn, which helped in developing discipline and patience. Lastly, they played “Fire in the Mountains – Tag Your Friends!” was conducted as a fun and energetic welcome activity for the students. The game encouraged children to move around, interact with their classmates, and quickly team up with their friends, helping them get to know one another better. It also promoted teamwork, listening skills, and friendship in a joyful way. To make the children feel special and warmly welcomed, welcome badges were also given to all the students. The activity filled the classroom with excitement, laughter, and a happy beginning to the new academic journey.

 Class IV students played Passing the Hola hoop and Balancing the pencil. The activity was fun and engaging. It helped students develop teamwork skills, body coordination, and problem-solving abilities while enjoying the game. The “Balancing the Pencil” activity was conducted to improve students’ concentration, patience, and fine motor skills. In this activity, each student was given a pencil and asked to balance it on their finger, palm, or another body part without letting it fall. Next, they played a telephonic activity where one student whisper one riddle in another student's ear and then they repeat till it reach the last student. It's fun to see what it reaches to the other end. 

Class V played- Quick Energizer – “Simon Says”. It helped students to break their nervousness and add energy. Next, they played Ice-breaker which helped students in improving listening skills, build concentration. Overall, the activities conducted proved to be effective in creating a positive and fun loving environment in the classroom. The day concluded with smiles and a sense of comfort as the students eagerly looked forward to the school year ahead.
