The students of Class V-A presented a meaningful and inspiring assembly on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The assembly beautifully highlighted the life, values and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, with a special emphasis on truth, peace and non-violence.
The assembly commenced with a prayer, creating an atmosphere of peace and positivity. This was followed by the Thought of the Day:
“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi
The students then delivered an informative and inspiring speech on Gandhi Jayanti, highlighting Gandhiji’s principles of truth, peace, non-violence, simplicity and harmony. They encouraged everyone to follow these values in their daily lives and contribute towards building a better society.
To make the assembly interactive and engaging, the students conducted a quiz based on the life and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi. The quiz tested the students’ knowledge and helped everyone learn interesting facts about the Father of the Nation.
The students then presented a short and meaningful Hindi role play on “Gandhiji ke Teen Bandar”. Through the role play, they conveyed the timeless message of “Bura mat dekho, bura mat suno, bura mat bolo”, reminding everyone to choose positive thoughts, words and actions.
The highlight of the assembly was a soulful rendition of the timeless bhajan “Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye Je”, which created a serene and emotional atmosphere. The melodious performance beautifully reflected Gandhiji’s ideals of compassion, empathy and service to others.
The students and the audience took a Gandhi Jayanti Pledge, promising to uphold the values of truth, non-violence, cleanliness, kindness and respect for all.
The assembly concluded with a strong message that Gandhiji’s teachings are not merely lessons from history but values that can guide us in our everyday lives. The thoughtful performances by the students of Class V-A made the assembly a memorable and enriching experience for everyone.
